What We're All About
We believe cars are made to be driven, admired, and enjoyed—especially Thunderbirds. Here’s what you’ll find when you join us:
- Cruises & Meet-Ups: From spring to fall, we love to get together for casual rides, join in on legendary events like the Woodward Dream Cruise, or just gather for burgers and stories at our favorite local spots.
- Tech Talk & Restoration Help: Got a tricky engine problem, a mystery rattle, or a dashboard that’s seen better days? Someone in the club has probably fixed it before. Our members are happy to share tips, lend a hand, or just listen to your tales from the garage.
- Newsletters & Updates: Every month, we put together a newsletter full of club news, upcoming events, photos, restoration highlights, and member spotlights. Want to share your own T-Bird adventures? We’d love to feature you!
- Classifieds & Swaps: Looking for that elusive trim piece, a set of wheels, or even your next Thunderbird? Check out our classifieds—club members are always swapping parts, cars, and stories.
Above all, we're about having fun and keeping the T-Bird spirit alive. No need to be an expert—just bring your passion!
A Quick Cruise Through Thunderbird History
Let’s take a quick detour down memory lane. The Ford Thunderbird first rolled onto the scene in 1955 and totally changed the game. Ford didn’t just want another sports car—they wanted something cool, comfortable, and totally different. And that’s exactly what the T-Bird delivered.
The first Thunderbirds were sleek two-seaters—part roadster, part luxury ride, and all style. Over the years, the T-Bird evolved: some generations were big cruisers perfect for road trips, others brought back the sporty look with powerful engines and bold lines. From tailfins to hidden headlights, convertibles to hardtops, every era has its fans and its stories.
For many of us, the Thunderbird is more than just a car. It's road trips with friends, summer nights at the drive-in, hours in the garage, and pride when people give you the thumbs up at a red light. It's a piece of Americana—and we're here to celebrate it, keep it running, and share it with anyone who’s curious.
